Minors: Children aged 3 to 11 pay 60% of the price. Frequency and schedule: Daily, from 07:00 to 08:00 until 13:00. Access: The park is accessed via National Route Nº 3, about 11 km southwest of Ushuaia. Tour of the park: During the tour, you will see the Rio Pipo, Mount Susana, Lake Acigami, the Alakush Visitor Center, Laguna Verde, and Bahía Lapataia, where the Pan-American Highway system ends. There will be opportunities to take photos and a walk of approximately 30 minutes, subject to weather conditions.
Topography and wildlife:
The park’s topography is varied, with steep mountains, rivers, valleys, and lakes, until reaching the coast of the Beagle Channel. All year round, you will be able to admire the vegetation of the subantarctic forest. The most common mammal in the region is the Fuegian red fox (red fox of Tierra del Fuego). Various species of birds inhabit the park, including the cachaña, the giant woodpecker, the rayadito, and the Patagonian thrush, as well as the cauquén caranca, the symbol of the National Park.
